She comes from a lineage of seers, warriors, and firsts. She is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana Home of the Creole Culture. Her spiritual up-bringing comes from her family influences, oral stories, coming up in a Baptist church and being raised by her late great-grandmother in her early years and grandmother who were both women that had the gift of sight also known as "cunning women" Before & during her grandmother’s last days she took care of her until her final transition in 2019. During the time of her grandmothers passing, she discovered that her purpose was much bigger than herself. She is known in her hometown by being an intuitive reader and spiritualist. Mama Ganja has been professionally giving spiritual counsel to others for 6 years and will continue to do so. Although since a child she has always sought out her spiritual gifts. Mama Ganja continues to embrace the beautiful tradition of Louisiana hoodoo with the healing and spiritual properties of Afro-Indigenous and African practices both medicinally and spiritually that has been passed down and known for generations and centuries throughout some of her own family traditions and throughout the African diaspora.
