The ancestors Rebirth

Writer's picture: Mama GanjaMama Ganja

in the Yoruba tradition the egungun (ancestral figure) appears to be holding a baby.

I want you to pay attention to this photo and look at this photo closely. You see in certain households as far as Afro American households has the saying when someone passes another life is born. This is still prevalent and will always be. I know for a fact that this is true not only because I believe in it but because I’ve witnessed this even in my own family and my family also have a deep sense of believing this too.

For example: When my grandmother passed my nephew was born, but what I found very astonishing is that before she passed she had a dream that my brother was having a baby-boy before him and his girlfriend even knew they was expecting a child let alone a baby-boy. That was something fairly recent in my family, but I’ve noticed the same patterns of my ancestors rebirthing in my family with previous family members who passed on.

I want you all to keep in mind that we all have ancestors who have passed on and live through the children of the family. Some of us are even the reincarnation of them as well. Let‘s not for second think that energy does not reciprocate through life. The spirit never dies it always recycle because energy is Infinite and forever.

I want you to pay close attention to your families patterns and cycles.

What are some of your experiences with the ancestors rebirth?

It's absolutely amazing to watch the elders become reborn into the children in the family. Even the traits are passed down. That's why we hear and say "they've been here before".
